One of the most important considerations in evaluating each investment is Capital Preservation. Maximizing return may be a paragon of smart investing, however we need to remain aware that risk is commensurate with return. That is to say, the higher the rate of return the higher the risk. That doesn't mean that a projected high rate of return necessarily fosters high risk. It simply means the stability of the investment needs to be scrutinized prior to justification of the capitalization rate. |
